Guangzhou Sunac Water Park

Guangzhou Sunac Water Park is located at No. 63 Fenghuang North Road, Huacheng Subdistrict, Huadu District, Guangzhou, within the Guangzhou Sunac Cultural Tourism City. It is one of the few large-scale, fully indoor, constant-temperature water parks in South China. As a core component of the Guangzhou Sunac Cultural Tourism City, it operates regardless of weather conditions and is open for enjoyment all year round. The park covers a total construction area of approximately 34,000 square meters and features an indoor constant-temperature design, maintaining comfortable water and ambient temperatures throughout the year. Themed around the Maritime Silk Road culture, it creates a rich island atmosphere, offering a wide range of water attractions including high-speed slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, and children's play areas. It caters to both thrill-seeking adult activities and relaxing family-friendly attractions, making it ideal for family outings and group trips with friends.

History and Culture

Guangzhou Sunac Water Park is part of the Guangzhou Sunac Cultural Tourism City, developed by Sunac Culture & Tourism. The tourism city officially opened in June 2019, and the Water Park, as one of the four major park zones within the complex, opened simultaneously. Located in Huadu District, it is one of the key large-scale cultural and tourism supporting projects in northern Guangzhou, filling the market gap for large indoor constant-temperature water parks in the city.

The park's thematic design draws inspiration from the ancient Maritime Silk Road, using nautical exploration and island harbors as its creative backbone. The island-style ambiance along the Silk Road is integrated into architectural decorations, ride names, and scene settings. Rather than featuring heavy historical relics, the park focuses on modern leisure and cultural tourism experiences, offering an immersive ocean-themed space where visitors can enjoy water activities in any season.

Major Attractions

Giant Wave Bay

A large indoor wave pool and one of the most popular core attractions. The wide water area generates timed waves of varying heights. Visitors can wade in the shallow area or use flotation devices to feel the surge. Surrounding loungers and a stage area host interactive performances at intervals.

Tornado

A high-speed thrill slide featuring a giant funnel. Riders sit in a four-person raft, plunge from a high chute, and are swept into the massive funnel, swinging back and forth in a spinning, weightless experience. Height and weight restrictions apply.

Happy Water Fortress

A dedicated parent-child splash zone designed for children, featuring low slides, spray devices, water castles, and play pools with shallow water and gentle activities. Suitable for young kids, with resting and supervision areas for parents nearby.

Coconut Grove Drift

A lazy river ride that meanders around the park. Guests ride single-person floats, drifting slowly along the current while passing coconut grove scenery and water spray effects. A relaxing attraction suitable for all ages.

4D Water Cinema

A unique experience where visitors sit in seats equipped with water-spray special effects and watch an ocean-themed film, enhanced by mist and other sensory effects for an immersive viewing experience.

Dragon Cave Adventure

South China's first intelligent multi-track slide. Starting from a 23-meter-high platform, the 240-meter-long slide features four segmented chutes and a secondary track-switching system, offering randomized routes for a sense of exploration and unpredictability. This is a high-thrill adult slide with physical restrictions.
