Food

Special Dishes of the Ecological Restaurant

The ecological restaurant in Shuigao Manor takes "green and healthy" as its concept. Most ingredients come from the manor's picking garden and local farmers, ensuring freshness and naturalness. The restaurant's specialty dishes include farmhouse stewed native chicken, made by selecting free-range native chickens from the manor and slowly stewing them with potatoes, vermicelli, and other ingredients. The meat is tender and the soup is rich. There is also steamed river seafood, using fresh fish and shrimp from the Ziya River. After steaming, it retains the original flavor of the ingredients and has a sweet taste. In addition, the restaurant also provides various wild vegetable platters, such as purslane and shepherd's purse, allowing tourists to taste the flavor of nature.

Tianjin Guobacai

Farmhouse restaurants around the manor serve authentic Tianjin Guobacai. This is a traditional Tianjin snack, mainly made with mung bean flour pancakes (thin pancakes), paired with braising sauce made from pork bone soup, and then added with cilantro, chili oil, and other seasonings. It has a soft, glutinous, fresh, and fragrant taste and is a common choice for local breakfast. Tourists can taste this specialty food while visiting.

Tie Bobo Ao Xiaoyu

Tie Bobo Ao Xiaoyu is a traditional farmhouse dish in the Tianjin area and can also be eaten in restaurants around the manor. The dish uses fresh small river fish (mostly crucian carp) and corn dough (bobo). The bobo is stuck to the side of the pot, and the small fish are stewed at the bottom of the pot. The steam is used to cook the bobo, giving it the fresh aroma of fish, while the small fish is tender and flavorful, reflecting the cooking wisdom of northern farmhouses.
