At the strong request of a wide range of readers, we have compiled this "Hua Shu Aoshi Intensive Training" to better refine this textbook and align it with the new curriculum standards, fostering the mathematical literacy of students in the new century and developing their individual strengths. The intensive training strives to embody the following:
New Problems: This training selects problems from various competitions across the country in recent years, as well as influential newspapers and magazines, and organizes them into categories. The problems systematically reflect the current hotspots and focal points of various mathematical competitions, offering a fresh perspective on the trends in primary school mathematical competition questions.
New Types of Questions: Each section of the intensive training includes a variety of question types, such as fill-in-the-blanks, multiple-choice, application problems, operational problems, problem-solving, computational problems, and graphical problems. This approach emphasizes flexibility in problem-solving while cultivating students' flexible thinking. In essence, each section provides students with a simulated exam environment.
Strong Selection: During the compilation process, we referred to a large number of questions and carefully selected and refined them to focus on cultivating students' ability to apply knowledge to solve problems. This guides students to explore while experiencing how mathematics originates from life, making mathematics more relatable and fostering interest in solving competition questions. It also provides a platform for selecting outstanding students at different levels and showcasing their innovative and practical abilities.
Strong Team: We have treated this intensive training as a research project under the new curriculum reform. The compilers are all distinguished provincial and municipal teachers, subject leaders, and outstanding young educators, all of whom have served as coaches in various provincial and above mathematical competitions.
