Features: Since its publication, "Hua Luogeng Mathematical Olympiad Textbook" (abbreviated as "Hua Shu Aosheng Textbook") has had a significant impact on the field of mathematical education and has been widely praised by teachers and students. It has become a reference book for regular competitions such as the "Hua Cup," "Xiao Shu Cup," and "Hope Cup," as well as for cultivating mathematical interest and improving mathematical thinking skills. At the strong request of readers, we have compiled this "Hua Shu Aosheng Intensive Training" to better refine the textbook and align with the new curriculum standards, fostering the mathematical literacy of students in the new century and developing their individual strengths. This intensive training strives to reflect the following:
New Problems: This training selects recent competition problems from various regions across the country, as well as influential newspapers and magazines, and organizes them into categories. The problems systematically demonstrate the current hotspots and focal points of various mathematical competitions, offering a fresh perspective on the trends in primary school mathematical competition questions.
New Types of Questions: Each training session includes a variety of question types such as fill-in-the-blanks, multiple-choice, application problems, hands-on problems, problem-solving tasks, computational problems, and graphical problems. This approach emphasizes flexibility in problem-solving while cultivating students' flexible thinking. In essence, each training session provides students with a simulated examination environment.
Strong Selection: During the compilation, we referred to a large number of questions and carefully selected and refined them to focus on developing students' ability to apply knowledge to solve problems. This guides students to explore while experiencing how mathematics originates from life, making them feel the "lifelike" nature of mathematics and fostering their interest in solving competition questions. It also serves as a platform for selecting outstanding students at different levels, showcasing their innovative and practical abilities.
Strong Team: We have treated this intensive training as a research project under the new curriculum reform. The compilers are all distinguished provincial and municipal teachers, subject leaders, and outstanding young educators, all of whom have served as coaches in provincial and above mathematical competitions. The result of a year's worth of dedication is undoubtedly the greatest guarantee of the book's quality. While based on the "Textbook," each volume expands and extends knowledge. Correspondingly, in line with the current curriculum reform spirit and competition question-setting trends, some additional content has been included to cultivate students' understanding of the completeness and systematic nature of knowledge.
All answers are fully explained, and before each session's answers, there is a network and summary of the knowledge used in that session, providing students with references for study and review. Thus, the book is highly applicable.
