Shijiazhuang Tianshan Sea World

Shijiazhuang Tianshan Sea World is located at No. 116 Tianshan Street, Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and one of the larger indoor constant-temperature water amusement centers in North China. With "water entertainment" as its core feature, the scenic area integrates thrilling water projects, relaxing splash zones, and complete supporting services, making it suitable for visitors of different age groups. Its main building adopts a modern design, with a total floor area of about 50,000 square meters and an overall site area of more than 100 mu. The indoor temperature is kept at around 28°C year-round, and the water temperature remains at 26-28°C throughout the year, providing visitors with a water-play environment suitable for all four seasons.

History and Culture

Shijiazhuang Tianshan Sea World was first built in 1999, invested in and constructed by Tianshan Group. It was one of the earlier large indoor water parks completed in North China at that time, filling the gap in winter water entertainment in northern China. Over the years, the scenic area has continuously upgraded and renovated, gradually developing from initial single-function water entertainment facilities into a comprehensive tourist resort integrating amusement, dining, accommodation, and leisure. It has witnessed the development and changes of the tourism industry in Shijiazhuang and even North China, become an important choice for local residents and nearby tourists for leisure and entertainment, and also become a distinctive calling card of Shijiazhuang's urban tourism.

Main Attractions

Wave Pool

The wave pool is one of the landmark attractions of Tianshan Sea World, with an area of about 3,000 square meters. It can simulate various forms of ocean waves, from gentle ripples to surging billows, with wave heights reaching up to 1.5 meters. Visitors can feel the fun of wave impacts in the pool, suitable for families and friends to experience together. Fixed wave-making shows are held every day, attracting large numbers of visitors.

Lazy River

The lazy river is about 400 meters long, with a winding course and moderate water flow speed. Zhengding Eight Great Bowls

Around Tianshan Sea World, visitors can taste Zhengding Eight Great Bowls, a traditional Hebei dish. The eight bowls include four meat dishes and four vegetarian dishes. The meat dishes are mostly braised pork, crispy pork, meatballs, and so on, while the vegetarian dishes include tofu, vermicelli, Chinese cabbage, and so on. They are made using traditional steaming methods, with rich taste and mellow flavor. They are classic dishes at local banquets. Many Zhengding restaurants around the scenic area offer them at affordable prices, suitable for sharing among several people.


Cylinder Oven Sesame Cakes

Cylinder oven sesame cakes are a specialty snack of the Shijiazhuang area and are commonly seen in snack streets and restaurants near Sea World. They are made from flour, sesame seeds, salt, and other ingredients and baked in a cylinder oven. The outer skin is crispy and the inside is soft. They can be eaten directly or stuffed with meat or vegetables, with a unique flavor. A single cake costs about 2-3 yuan and is easy to carry, making it a convenient food during the visit.

Opening Hours:

Opening hours are adjusted according to the seasons. In summer (June-August), the opening hours are 9:30-21:00; in spring and autumn (April-May, September-October), the opening hours are 10:00-18:00; in winter (November-March of the following year), the opening hours are 10:00-17:30. Opening hours may be extended on holidays (such as the Spring Festival and National Day), usually 9:30-20:00. The specific time is subject to the announcement of the scenic area on the day. Visitors are advised to confirm the opening hours through official channels before traveling to avoid delaying their itinerary.

Suggested Route

Visitors are advised to first go to the changing room to change clothes and store belongings after entering the scenic area, then start playing at the wave pool in the central area. At this time, there are relatively fewer visitors, so they can first experience the fun of the waves. After the wave-making ends, drift downstream along the lazy river to relax and enjoy the scenery along the way. The whole trip takes about 20 minutes. After that, go to exciting projects such as the rainbow slides. These projects have shorter queues in the morning. At noon, you can dine and rest in the dining area of the scenic area. In the afternoon, you can take children to the children's splash park, or relax in the hot spring pools. In the evening, you can go to the wave pool again to experience the night wave-making (when there is a night session in summer), ending the day's itinerary. The entire route takes about 5-6 hours and can be flexibly adjusted according to personal interests and physical strength.

Transportation:

Bus

Take Shijiazhuang bus routes 32, 51, 79, 99, 518, 574, Express 32, and others, get off at the "Tianshan Sea World" stop, and walk about 300 meters to reach the main entrance of the scenic area.

Bus operating hours are mostly 6:00-22:00, with departure intervals of 5-15 minutes and fares of 1-2 yuan.

Subway

Take Shijiazhuang Subway Line 1, get off at "Liucun Station", exit from Exit D, walk about 1.2 kilometers, or transfer to bus 32, 51, and others for one stop to arrive.

Subway Line 1 operates from 6:30 to 22:00. Fares are calculated according to the journey, about 2-5 yuan.

Self-driving

Starting from downtown Shijiazhuang, drive east along Yuhua East Road, then turn to Tianshan Street and go north to reach the scenic area. There is a parking lot in the scenic area with about 500 parking spaces. Daytime parking costs 5 yuan per hour, with a maximum charge of 30 yuan within 24 hours.

If coming from other places, you can exit at the Shijiazhuang Yuhua exit of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, drive east along Yuhua East Road, then turn to Tianshan Street and go north to arrive.

Travel Tips:

It is recommended to bring personal items such as swimsuits, swim caps, slippers, and towels. They can also be purchased in the scenic area, but the prices are relatively high; swim caps may need to be worn when entering some pools.

Choose to visit on non-weekends and non-holidays to reduce queue times and improve the visiting experience, especially during the peak summer season when there are more visitors on weekends.

Storage lockers in the park need to be rented. The deposit is 30 yuan, and the rental fee is 20 yuan. It is recommended that several people share one locker to save costs.
