Features: Zheng Changfu (September 1939 – January 2004), a native of Tianjin, was a first-class film art designer in China. As a painter, Zheng Changfu's color and ink opera paintings were unique. Based on his profound understanding and mastery of traditional Peking Opera art, he incorporated elements from Western modern abstract painting schools. Furthermore, he leveraged the distinctive camera perspective concepts of film workers, developing a distinctive personal style of composition and expressive techniques. He created an artistic style that blends folk traditions with a strong modern sensibility, which has gained significant international influence. His works were featured in a special exhibition at the London Drama Festival in the UK and are permanently collected by the National Theatre Museum of Japan.
