Erectile dysfunction and infertility: What are the symptoms?

Patient's question:

It has already started to become a bit cold. I originally thought it was because he didn't love me anymore or because he was having an affair. Later, he said he suffered from premature ejaculation and infertility. I didn't know what the symptoms were.

Doctor's answer:

Erectile dysfunction refers to the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. It can manifest as complete inability to achieve an erection, insufficient rigidity, or the ability to achieve an erection with some degree of hardness but not sustain it for the duration of sexual activity, thereby interfering with or preventing successful intercourse. In clinical diagnosis, some cases of inability to achieve or maintain an erection do not fully reflect true male sexual function. Certain mental or neurological disorders that temporarily disrupt erectile function are medically referred to as "functional erectile dysfunction," which is also known as "psychogenic erectile dysfunction."
