Features: In 2002, the editors published a collection of essays titled Lingnan Economic Forum, edited by faculty members of the institute. At that time, they did not anticipate the need to publish another series so soon and thus did not refer to it as a volume. However, the previous collection garnered significant attention in academia, and within a short two-year period, faculty members published a large number of high-quality papers. This motivated the editors to continue their work and treat the previous collection as the first volume, with subsequent ones to be labeled as the second, third, and so on, forming a series. In this volume, the editors selected and compiled 68 essays, divided into six major parts.
Part 1 focuses on political economy and institutional economics, featuring 15 articles. Part 2 covers macroeconomic growth and reform, with 6 articles. Part 3 addresses international trade and investment, including 8 articles. Part 4 deals with taxation and public finance, comprising 8 articles. Part 5 focuses on finance and capital markets, with 16 articles. Part 6 covers quantitative economics, featuring 15 articles.
