Features: This is the first monograph in China dedicated to consumer education. Consumption is a timeless theme for humanity, not the behavior of a select few but a fundamental aspect of every individual's life journey. Consequently, how to satisfy consumption, how to consume, and how to achieve sustainable consumption have become major concerns for governments and citizens worldwide. It is only natural for governments and all sectors of society to reach a consensus on the mission and significance of consumer education and to implement it actively. Moreover, in China, there are numerous consumption patterns and behaviors that contradict scientific, healthy, and sustainable consumption, not only affecting the quality of life of the current generation but also leaving a legacy of harm for future generations. The influx of consumerism into China during the 1980s has also constantly impacted people's outlooks and values. Addressing these issues requires multiple approaches and methods, but consumer education is absolutely indispensable. Conducting consumer education is an important means of promoting shifts in consumer attitudes and expanding consumption demand. It is an effective way to enhance consumers' awareness of their rights, advocate for consumer justice, and protect their legitimate rights and interests. It is also essential for establishing civilized consumption patterns and achieving sustainable consumption.
