Features: The Rubuge Hydropower Station was the first project in China to adopt international bidding for construction. The Japan Taisei Corporation won the bid, marking the beginning of the reform in China's hydropower construction management system. Subsequently, the project management of the Guangzhou Pumped Storage Power Station using the FIDIC contract system and the international bidding management of the Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Project led China's hydropower and water conservancy engineering construction management to transition from traditional methods to modern approaches, significantly advancing the development of hydropower and water conservancy engineering construction under market economy conditions.
From being a construction participant in the Rubuge Project to an important organizer of the Guangzhou Pumped Storage Power Station and a key manager of the Xiaolangdi Project, the author personally experienced and actively promoted the reform of China's hydropower and water conservancy engineering construction management system. He witnessed the intense impact of foreign management systems on the domestic hydropower construction market and accumulated extensive management experience and profound insights through international cooperation.
To provide references and lessons for future similar engineering projects and management, we have compiled and organized some of the author's papers and reports written during the construction and management of the Rubuge Hydropower Station, Guangzhou Pumped Storage Power Station, and Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Project, and compiled them into this book for readers' perusal.
