Changsha Window of the World

Changsha Window of the World is located at No. 485 Sanyi Avenue, Kaifu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, covering an area of 400,000 square meters. It is a comprehensive theme park integrating world wonders, historical relics, ancient and modern scenic spots, as well as world folk houses, folk customs, world song and dance art performances, and large-scale mechanical amusement rides. In 2000, it was rated as one of the first batch of national 4A-level tourist attractions.

History and Culture

Changsha Window of the World was founded in 1995 and jointly developed by China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited, Overseas Chinese Town Economic Development Corporation, and Hunan Radio and Television Development Group, with a project investment of 300 million yuan. On November 28, 1995, the project was officially signed. Construction began in July 1996 and was completed in September 1997. It opened for trial operation on October 1 and officially opened on October 16. In April 2003, its holding company entrusted its operation and management to Hunan Economic TV Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. Since 2003, Changsha Window of the World has become a cultural activity base in Hunan Province, undertaking film and television shooting and entertainment cultural activities. Hunan Satellite TV programs such as "Super Girl," "Happy Boys," "Where Are We Going, Dad?," and "Up Idol" have all filmed here.

Main Attractions

Neuschwanstein Castle

Built at a scale of 1:2 according to the original, it is a landmark building in the scenic area. The original was first built in 1869 and is located at the foot of the Alps in Bavaria, Germany. King Ludwig II of Bavaria personally participated in the design of this castle, which contains a large number of swan sculptures.

Lighthouse of Alexandria

Built at a scale of 1:2 according to the original, it is a landmark building in the scenic area. As one of the famous Seven Wonders of the World, the original was located on Pharos Island near Alexandria, Egypt. It was first built during the reign of Ptolemy I to guide ships entering and leaving Alexandria.

Louvre Pyramid

Built at a scale of 1:2 according to the original. The original is located at the Louvre in France. It was first built in 1984 and was designed and built by the famous Chinese-American architect I. M. Pei.


Egyptian Pyramids

Built at a scale of 1:15 according to the original. One of the Eight Wonders of World Architecture, the original is located in Giza on the outskirts of Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest pyramid in the world. It was built around 2690 BC and is the tomb of Khufu, the second king of the Fourth Dynasty.


Thousand-Hand Guanyin

It is 20 meters high. Because each palm has an eye, it is also called "Thousand-Hand Thousand-Eye Guanyin." "Thousand hands" represent immeasurable compassion, and "thousand eyes" represent perfect wisdom.


Four Continents Fountain of France

Built at a scale of 1:1 according to the original. The original was designed and built by French sculptor Carpeaux. It uses the images of four women of different races to represent the peoples of Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, symbolizing unity and friendship.


Ximaotuo Children's Park

The only vegetable-themed indoor children's pavilion in China, specially designed for children under 12 years old. It has 10 parent-child facilities, including Bug Mountain Train, Little Pilot, and Mini Ferris Wheel.

Tour Suggestions:

Arrive early and head straight to popular attractions to reduce waiting time. On weekends, the queue may exceed 1 hour.

Some attractions require a height of over 1.4 m. Visitors bringing children can choose parent-child attractions such as Ximaotuo Park.

When visiting in summer, remember to bring a swimsuit to enjoy the water world attractions.

Wear sports shoes and sun-protective clothing for convenience and sun protection.

Follow official activities, such as intangible cultural heritage temple fairs, where you may have the chance to collect stamps and exchange them for souvenirs.

Metro: Take Metro Line 3 to Xianglong Station, then walk or ride a shared bike for 1.2 kilometers; or take Metro Line 5 to Malanshan Station, then walk or ride for 1.5 kilometers.

Bus: Take Bus 358 or 409 to Window of the World (Ice and Snow World) Bus Stop, then walk 428 meters; or take Bus 704 to Zhongnan Auto World Bus Stop, then walk 514 meters.

Self-driving: Navigate to Window of the World - Dedicated Ground Parking Lot. Parking fee: 10 yuan/hour, 30 yuan within 5 hours, 35 yuan within 8 hours, 40 yuan within 12 hours, and 50 yuan within 24 hours.

Opening Hours:

Daytime: Sunday to Thursday 9:00 - 22:00; Friday to Saturday 9:00 - 23:00. Nighttime: Monday to Friday 18:00 to 22:00; Saturday to Sunday 18:00 to 23:00.
