Features: Classic stories, unforgettable, profound philosophy, benefiting a lifetime. Each small story in the classic story series "The Legend of the Magic Beans" contains at least one virtue that children should possess. Since these virtues are integrated into the stories, children won’t feel any moral preaching when reading them. When parents read with their children, they need to discuss these virtues with them, helping them form impressions and internalize them as their own behavior.
"The Visitor from Outer Space" presents a cycle of love: Angel Coco helps the planet Kelen, which is about to face a crisis. The warrior Ppi from Kelen rescues Coco, who has been swallowed by the corn beast Didi. Everyone is a part of this cycle. If they don’t help others, Kelen cannot avoid disaster. The demon king tries to disrupt this cycle, but if everyone works together, he won’t succeed in his plot. This story helps cultivate children’s compassion. Compassion for others is the foundation of love. It allows children to understand others’ pain and misfortune, giving them enough love to help those who have been hurt or troubled. Compassionate children are more likely to care for and help others, and they are also better at controlling their emotions. As psychologist Robert Weis (Robert Weis) points out, alleviating others’ suffering is, in itself, a positive and effective action for oneself.
In real society, children’s young shoulders may not yet be strong enough to carry the burden of "helping others," but this doesn’t mean parents shouldn’t teach them this lesson. This series encourages parents and children to read out the large-print literary phrases together (which are usually the center of the story), subtly implying such an intention. Reading these phrases alone might be dull, but when placed in an interesting story, children can understand them more easily. Therefore, parent-child reading is an important way to enjoy this series.
