Familiarizing oneself with and memorizing some Tang poems can often refine one's temperament, enhance one's qualities, and bring lifelong unforgettable benefits. This book selects 100 well-known Tang poems and explains them in a relaxed and novel format. Therefore, it serves as both a beautiful collection and a helpful tool for students to better understand and memorize Tang poems. The book is divided into four parts:
1. The original poem and annotations. For each Tang poem, we have selected an ancient painting that aligns with its theme as an illustration. Additionally, some poems include author biographies and portraits of the poets.
2. "Poetic Essays." We rewrite the Tang poems as essays, integrating the explanations into the narrative. This approach allows readers to understand the poems as a whole.
3. "Poetic Appreciation." Every poem's strengths and how to appreciate it are clearly explained here.
4. "Stories of Poems." These may be stories about a particular poem, about a poet, or about poetic knowledge in general. In summary, reading these stories helps readers gain more background information and, in turn, better understand Tang poetry.
