Brief Introduction:
The Piano Accordion Advancement Course is a piano accordion teaching book designed for higher education institutions at the undergraduate level, as well as for vocational schools, adult self-study programs, normal schools for secondary and primary education, and other levels. Spanning twelve levels from beginner to advanced, the course is divided into two volumes, following a progressive and systematic teaching approach. It aims to establish a scientifically comprehensive and quantifiably assessable curriculum standard. This standard not only provides the necessary framework for implementing credit systems in music programs at higher education institutions but also offers rich and substantial teaching materials for standardized handbell instruction at all levels. The entire course integrates practicality with collectibility, featuring a wealth of fundamental techniques and techniques, as well as a dazzling array of renowned classical and popular compositions from around the world.
The Piano Accordion Advancement Course emphasizes foundational teaching content, expanding the selection of traditional etudes and pieces. Exercises and compositions before Level 6 come with detailed fingerings for self-study. The fingerings in the textbook are intended for keyboard-style accordions; adjustments are required for button-style or free-bass instruments. The left-hand bass chords are marked using traditional notation for conventional accordions, while the bass notation for classical polyphonic works strives to preserve the original composition as much as possible. However, it is still preferable to refer to the original notation when performing on a free-bass accordion.
