Features: A series of books on the essence of Western management masters. Herbert A. Simon was born in the United States in 1916. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1942. He was not only a great management master but also a pioneer in computer science and psychology. Simon systematically criticized the theory of "rational economic man" and emphasized that economists should recognize the boundaries of human rationality and irrationality. The admiration for complete human rationality should be replaced by a more realistic human "bounded rationality." Throughout his life, his research covered numerous fields such as psychology, computer science, information theory, artificial intelligence, and organizational management, but primarily focused on management science, especially the science of decision-making within economic organizations. He was also the only management scholar among the Nobel Prize winners in Economics.
