After each definition, an example sentence is provided for each usage of the headword's meaning. At the beginning and end of each part of the main body, a set of diagnostic tests and final tests are included. All test questions are taken from past CET-4, CET-6, and postgraduate entrance exam practice papers. Most of the diagnostic test questions are phrases that have been repeatedly tested in past papers, while most of the final test questions are "challenging" phrases that have rarely appeared in past papers. In the main body and tests of this book, a total of over 450 phrase questions from past CET-4, CET-6, and postgraduate entrance exam papers are included. The appendix provides more than 650 examples of prepositional and verb, noun, and adjective collocations that are frequently tested but difficult to find and master.
