Features: The publication of The Air Force Dictionary is an important achievement in the research work of air force military science in recent years. It is the first large-scale dictionary in Chinese history to introduce air force knowledge. China is one of the earliest countries in the world to explore aviation and has been engaged in military aviation activities for a long time. After the Xinhai Revolution broke out in 1911, the Revolutionary Army of Guangdong established an aviation detachment. In 1917, the Guangzhou Revolutionary Government set up an aviation bureau, and in 1920, the Zhongshan Aviation Detachment was established. After 1920, aviation detachments were formed in the three provinces of Northeast China, as well as in Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Hunan, and Shandong. In 1928, the Nanjing Nationalist Government established an aviation bureau, which gradually merged and incorporated aviation detachments from various provinces, establishing the Nationalist Air Force. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the People's Liberation Army Air Force was established. The People's Air Force appeared on the eastern stage of the world with a brand-new image. Under the correct leadership of the Communist Party of China, it grew and developed while fighting, rapidly expanding and strengthening in battle. Today, it has become a multi-service armed force with certain medium- and long-range combat and air defense capabilities.
