Features: In the 1950s and 1960s, our publishing house organized a nationwide selection of outstanding long (novels) anthologies, showcasing the style and level of long (novels) creation at that time. After the new era, the number of long (novels) creations increased significantly, with diverse themes, styles, and techniques. To more comprehensively reflect the achievements of long (novels) creation during this period, in May 2004, we edited and published the "Representative Works of Famous Contemporary Chinese Novelists" series, featuring the works of twenty-five writers. For this re-publication, we adjusted the original series list, selected additional works, and included those that won the Mao Dun Literature Prize in the "Complete Collection of Mao Dun Literature Prize Winners." As a result, the selection of the "Representative Works of Famous Contemporary Chinese Novelists" series has become more complete and comprehensive, and it aligns with our previously published "Collected Works of Contemporary Chinese Long Novels" and "Complete Collection of Mao Dun Literature Prize Winners," allowing readers to gain a clearer understanding of the development trajectory and overall style of long (novels) creation since the founding of New China from different stages and perspectives.
