What is the condition of elevated transaminase?

Patient's question:

I am 38 years old and have recently felt that my liver is very tired. I haven't had much appetite, and at night, I always feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I went to a nearby hospital for a check-up and was told it was liver disease. They advised me to get injections. Could you please tell me what condition it is when the ALT levels are high?

Doctor's answer:

Elevated transaminase levels indicate transmissibility; the level of transaminase is proportional to the extent of liver cell damage, and so on. In fact, in many cases, whether the transaminase level is normal or not does not necessarily reflect the health of the liver—simply elevated transaminase levels do not indicate liver function. High transaminase levels (abnormal liver function) cannot yet confirm viral hepatitis. To confirm hepatitis, the following three conditions must be met simultaneously: having symptoms of hepatitis, physical signs (such as low-grade fever, aversion to greasy food, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, poor appetite, and avoiding spicy, greasy, fried, pickled, seafood, and animal livers, as well as other foods with undetermined ingredients.
