Publishing Date: 2005-01-01
Features: Since the 1990s, the wave of economic restructuring has almost swept across all long-term planned economies. More than 30 countries around the world have this historically largest, most extensive, and grand economic restructuring process. Among these restructuring countries, Russia is a major country alongside China and one of the most typical and representative. As a result, Russia's economic restructuring has attracted widespread attention worldwide. Not only do governments closely monitor Russia's economic restructuring dynamics, but scholars have also continuously strengthened their research on this issue. This research holds significant academic value and is also essential for government decision-making. Although China and Russia are both countries undergoing economic restructuring, China, as the largest and most representative restructuring country, has chosen a different model and path compared to Russia. In this context, studying the similarities and differences, as well as the pros and cons of the economic restructuring in China and Russia, especially providing an objective and correct evaluation and judgment of Russia's economic restructuring, is beneficial to China whether from the perspective of learning from experience or drawing lessons. This book is a of the author's long-term research on Russia's (Soviet Union's) economic reforms, economic restructuring, and economic development. It is called a "" because Russia's economic restructuring, as a process, is still ongoing and far from completion. This book focuses on summarizing and organizing the author's years of research on Russia's (Soviet Union's) economy and economic reforms, with a particular emphasis on Russia's economic restructuring process and economic development up to the end of 2013. It aims to provide readers with the latest research findings and accessible new data, while clearly outlining the basic framework of Russia's economic restructuring and economic development. As for the future trends of Russia's economic restructuring and economic development, they will be the subject of the next book to be studied and completed. The successful publication of this book is first and foremost due to the publishing support provided by the Dalian Academic Monograph Publishing Support Review Committee.
