Features: Climate and climate anomalies have a significant impact on China's national economic and social development. To improve the accuracy of short-term climate prediction, it is crucial to study new technologies for short-term climate prediction using dynamical climate models. This book is one of 54 summary papers from the project "Research on the Short-Term Climate Prediction System of China," a key science and technology project under the National "Ninth Five-Year Plan." The book includes research achievements on the climate prediction dynamical models of the short-term climate operational dynamical model system with three time scales: the monthly-scale dynamical ensemble prediction model; the low-resolution ocean-atmosphere coupled model for seasonal prediction; the high-resolution regional climate model nested with the low-resolution ocean-atmosphere coupled model; the simplified ocean-atmosphere coupled model for predicting interannual variations of ENSO events; as well as the research results of the pre-processing and post-processing subsystems for these four models. This book serves as a reference for workers in atmospheric science and related disciplines, as well as students and faculty from relevant departments and institutions.
