Features: "Compendium of China's Meteorological Disasters·Shaanxi Volume" is guided by dialectical materialism and historical materialism, tracing the meteorological disasters in Shaanxi from historical records to the year 2000. The writing style is organized by disaster type, with sections arranged in chronological order from ancient to modern times, and disasters within each section are listed in the order of occurrence. The disaster content is recorded in the order of their occurrence within the year. All disasters recorded in this volume are caused directly or indirectly by meteorological factors. The volume adopts a horizontal and vertical narrative structure, with an introduction at the beginning summarizing the main meteorological disasters in Shaanxi, their occurrence patterns, temporal distribution, and regional and seasonal characteristics. Each chapter includes an overview section that evaluates the characteristics, causes, and frequency of the disasters. The dates of meteorological disasters recorded in this volume use dynastic emperors' reign years and months before 1949, with corresponding Gregorian dates in parentheses, while after 1949, the Gregorian calendar is used. Due to significant changes in historical place names and administrative divisions over the centuries, a comprehensive list of ancient and modern place name correspondences is provided in the appendix for reference.
