Features: From the title of this book and the topic awareness in the first section, it can be seen that the research theme of this book involves two interconnected important aspects: On the one hand, it studies the position of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor; on the other hand, it studies the strategic adjustment of China's industrial structure. In previous literature, these two issues were often examined separately. Secondly, to study the position of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor, it is first necessary to examine how the contemporary international division of labor pattern, in which China's industry participates, has changed. Because the division of labor system in the international division of labor is not static but dynamic. This change is not only reflected in the continuous changes in the overall global international division of labor pattern, with different characteristics and forms in different historical periods; but also in the division of labor relationships between different countries at home and abroad, which change with economic development and changes in industrial structure. Thirdly, studying the position of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor inevitably involves China's comparative advantages and competitiveness, as well as international comparisons with other countries, requiring a large amount of empirical research. Therefore, it is necessary to determine specific empirical analysis samples. In this book, although it is based on a global perspective, the author has only selected the three typical "blocks" of the current world economic regionalization. Finally, after clarifying the position and status of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor, in order to achieve the strategic goal of becoming a first-class economic power, corresponding strategic adjustments of the industrial structure are needed. As mentioned earlier, this adjustment takes place against a new era background and after China has entered a new development stage, making the industrial structure adjustment different from previous adjustments in content and approach, requiring a comprehensive and renewed emphasis. It must be pointed out that, given China's national conditions, the strategic adjustment of China's industrial structure is not simply a production or technology issue, but more importantly a policy and institutional issue.
