As soon as you step into the scenic area, it feels as if a door to time has opened, allowing me to personally experience a journey of traveling from ancient times to the present. Simply walking along the streets, you can feel the rich folk customs flowing through the place. Upon entering the scenic area, the first thing that strikes you is the world's largest statue of the Song Fairy, which seems to embody all of Guilin people's memories and deep admiration for Liu Sanjie. The elements related to Liu Sanjie in the scenic area are by no means limited to just this. The Song Fairy Temple and the antiphonal singing performances at the Song Fairy Square are all meant to commemorate Liu Sanjie. The Zhuang brocade, Miao silver, woodblock prints, kite-making, embroidery, clay sculpture, and blacksmithing along the streets all gave me a close-up sense of the historical charm of Guangxi's folk culture.
Walking along East Street, my attention was completely drawn to the various foods. Cuisines from all over Guilin are gathered here — Guilin rice noodles, oil tea, osmanthus cake, snail stuffed with meat, sweet fermented rice with egg, glutinous rice cakes... everything is available. Therefore, what wins people's hearts at Guilin Romance Park is not only its rich cultural atmosphere, but also, to a large extent, the food that captures everyone's taste buds.
