Features: Identity, although a highly subjective concept, does not arise out of thin air. Its formation is influenced by both conceptual factors such as culture and values, as well as interactions and practices of the actors. Whether it is the identity recognition of the actors or their identification with ideas, it is a product of a certain level of productive forces and specific modes of production, while also being shaped by historical experiences, cultural traditions, values, religion, social and political systems, and reflecting the power structures and nature both domestically and internationally. To put it simply, identity is a concept that simultaneously embodies material and ideas, history and reality, and the relationship between the self and the other. Therefore, using this concept to examine international cooperation can be a beneficial approach. This book explores the significance of identity for international cooperation, starting from its connotation and construction process. The author points out that a positive identity can foster cooperative relationships and embed the idea of cooperation in people's minds, which in turn deepens the positive identity and promotes further development of international cooperation. Identity and cooperation continuously internalize and spiral upwards in interaction, ultimately elevating international cooperation to a higher level.
