Features: This code was formulated in accordance with the requirements of the State Planning Commission's document No. 250 of the General Department (Ji Zonghe [1986]), and was jointly developed by the Ministry of Water Resources, the former Ministry of Power Industry, and specific organizations such as the former Power Industry's Small Electric Water Conservancy Planning and Design General Institute, the Geological and Mineral Resources Ministry's Geological Environment Management Department, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Geological Institute, and the National Seismological Administration's Geological Research Institute. It was approved by the Ministry of Construction on March 4, 1999, with document No. 69 (Jian Biao [1999]), and jointly released with the National Administration for Quality and Technical Supervision. During the preparation process, the drafting group conducted extensive research, carefully summarized the practical experience of geological surveying in China's water conservancy and hydropower projects, incorporated relevant research achievements, referred to relevant international standards and advanced foreign practices, and widely solicited opinions from relevant units. Finally, it was reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Water Resources, the former Ministry of Power Industry, and relevant departments.
