Features: This code was revised according to the former State Planning Commission's "Plan for Formulating and Revising Construction Engineering Standard Norms in 1994" (No. 240, Ji-com [1994]), and was organized by the Architectural Research Institute of the former Metallurgical Industry Ministry. The revision was carried out on the National Standard "Technical Specification for Rock Bolting and Shotcrete Support" (GBJ86-85). This code consists of ten chapters and seven appendices, including: General Provisions, Terms and Symbols, Rock Classification, Rock Bolting and Shotcrete Support Design, On-site Monitoring, Smooth Blasting, Rock Bolting Construction, Shotcrete Construction, Safety Technology and Dust Prevention, Quality Inspection and Project Acceptance, etc. The main revision content includes: adding slope rock bolting and shotcrete support design, shallow buried soil tunnel rock bolting and shotcrete support design, prestressed rock bolt testing and monitoring, self-drilling rock bolt design and construction, wet shotcrete construction, cement-coated sand, and shotcrete construction. Some clauses related to rock classification, prestressed rock bolt design, on-site monitoring, and rock bolting construction were modified or supplemented.
