Features: The series Globalization, Informatization, and School Reform was recently published by East China Normal University Press. The series consists of three relatively independent yet interconnected works: Education Globalization: Chinese Perspectives and Issues by Wu Zhihui, School Reform in the Process of Globalization: A Methodological Perspective by Yang Xiaowei, and Diagnosis and Countermeasures for School Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization by Ye Lan et al. The series is a collection of research findings from the major project "Diagnosis and Countermeasures for School Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization," a significant research initiative supported by the Humanities and Social Sciences Base of the Ministry of Education, undertaken by the Institute of Basic Education Reform and Development. As the editor-in-chief states in the preface, "It is a product of the collaborative efforts and rigorous research of the Institute of Basic Education Reform and Development, a project funded through a competitive bidding process, and thus a result of the reform of China's social sciences research system." Education Globalization: Chinese Perspectives and Issues was written at a time when the study of "globalization" had become a hot topic. This book clarifies various viewpoints on the concept and theory of "globalization" and explores its relationship with educational reform, providing evaluations. The author also discusses the issue of "education globalization" from the perspective of China and its specific challenges. School Reform in the Process of Globalization: A Methodological Perspective focuses on the historical evolution of methodologies in school reform and the contemporary pluralistic state, set against the backdrop of global progress and the localization processes in several major countries. The methodological questions raised in this book about school reform hold significant inspirational value. Diagnosis and Countermeasures for School Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization is a collection of essays, primarily divided into three parts: Part 1: Research Reports, including: the final report on the research project "School Education Reform in the Context of Globalization and Informatization," problems and challenges faced by schools in the globalized context, "Learning Society" from a global perspective and its implications for basic education reform, research on school reform issues in the context of informatization, etc.; Part 2: Survey Reports, including: a survey report on the status of "basic education reform in China's primary and secondary schools," school reform in the context of social change—a survey report on school reform issues in Shanghai, the current state of quality evaluation in compulsory education: problems and countermeasures, etc.; Part 3: Special Studies, including: a comparative study between China and Japan on the impact of social environment changes on student development, an analysis of the fundamental components of contemporary moral education in China, reflections on school moral education in the era of globalization, etc.
