Book Collector (Issue 10)

Author: Qilu Book House Editorial Team
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2005-02-01
Features: This issue involved considerable deliberation and effort from the editors down to the typesetting stage. The team repeatedly revised the manuscript, compressed the layout, and tried to accommodate more articles. However, due to limitations in space and word count, many articles still could not be included, and it was no longer possible to squeeze them into future issues—as this issue marks the end of The Book Collector's publication. Although the team aimed to conclude on a strong note and leave a dignified legacy, some regrets remain. Since its inception, The Book Collector has been managed by the editorial team, which relied on the trust and support of the publishing house leadership for both spiritual and material sustenance. Additionally, senior scholars and collectors, despite their advanced age and frailty, generously contributed nearly every issue, upholding the journal's standards and quality. Many friends, whether in the north or south, not only regularly contributed articles but also enthusiastically helped the editors solicit and review manuscripts, ensuring a steady influx of fresh perspectives. Moreover, the new generation of (folk book collectors) and enthusiasts who love The Book Collector have not only become its core readership but have also continuously sent letters and manuscripts, offering suggestions and insights that have enriched its content and made it more relevant to contemporary reading lives.
