Features: In this song collection, we have selected some outstanding folk songs from Han and minority ethnic groups in China, as well as a number of excellent composed songs performed in ethnic vocal styles, along with a small selection of opera and film songs. These songs are rich in ethnic characteristics in both melody and singing style. Therefore, we have named this song collection "Ethnic Song Collection." The singing style of the folk songs in this collection belongs to "folk singing," while those of the composed songs, film songs, and opera selections should be classified under the commonly referred to "ethnic singing style" in daily life. It is a singing method that has evolved from China's traditional folk singing style, drawing inspiration and reference from Western "Bel Canto" to form a distinct approach from folk singing.
At the end of some songs, especially the folk songs, we have added some explanatory notes that include folk song theory and the cultural background of the songs. This is primarily to help readers better understand the songs while also providing some basic knowledge. We aim to achieve precision in knowledge and clarity in language.
