Features: The development of New Century Chinese language teaching for foreigners and Chinese education calls on us, as Chinese language teachers and educators, as well as researchers, to provide systematic, scientific, and vibrant theoretical research outcomes. It requires us to start from the actual needs of overseas societies and the national conditions of the host countries, tailor educational materials to the characteristics of overseas students, and create distinctive Chinese language and Chinese culture textbooks. To meet the needs of the new situation and also to promote the discipline construction and development of our institution's Chinese language teaching for foreigners and Chinese education, we have organized teachers on the teaching front to compile a series titled "Research Series on Overseas Chinese Education" and a series titled "Series of Textbooks on Overseas Chinese Education." The research series aims to explore the urgent theoretical and practical issues faced by Chinese language teaching for foreigners and Chinese education with a broad perspective and in-depth thinking. The textbook series strives to systematically introduce the basic knowledge of Chinese language and Chinese culture that overseas students should master and understand, making efforts to ensure clarity, conciseness, and practicality.
