Features: As one of the four great ancient civilizations, China's contributions to the advancement of human civilization are widely recognized worldwide. The inventions of papermaking, the compass, gunpowder, and movable type printing have greatly promoted the progress of human civilization. However, China has many other great inventions that have benefited the development of humanity. The invention of porcelain is one of the most important among them, and its significance is no less than that of the Four Great Inventions. It has changed people's lifestyles, improved living conditions, and enhanced the quality of life. Like pottery, the invention of porcelain is one of the important achievements of humanity in conquering, transforming, and utilizing nature. As early as the Neolithic Age, pottery appeared widely across the world. In China, the earliest pottery was found in the Xianrendong Cave in Jiangxi, dating back to about 10,000 years ago, marking the early stage of the Neolithic Age. The emergence of pottery indicates humanity's profound understanding of clay, water, and fire, representing a leap in human cognition. It was the first time humans used fire to create utensils. The invention of pottery is as significant as humans learning to make tools to improve their living conditions. It changed the dietary structure of humans and effectively improved living conditions, creating more favorable conditions for the development of settled agriculture. The needs of human life were the driving force behind the emergence of pottery. The appearance of porcelain, however, came much later than pottery and did not spread as widely globally. It first appeared in China, a source of pride for the Chinese people. After a long period of incubation and development, China gave birth to mature porcelain by the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Over thousands of years, our ancestors repeatedly pushed porcelain to new heights, leaving behind invaluable cultural treasures for humanity, with contributions unmatched by any other. It wasn't until the 12th century during the Song Dynasty that Chinese porcelain-making techniques began to spread to foreign lands. In the West, it was only in the 17th century that porcelain-making technology was introduced by a third country, leading to the production of mature porcelain. Porcelain is the art of fire and earth. Clay is reborn through the sacred flames, imbued with the life of humanity, their soul, and wisdom. It is filled with vitality and contains the essence of life, a masterpiece of sacred fire and spiritual earth!
