Features: Traditional Chinese thought and culture is an extremely vast field. The ancient civilization it embodies and how it connects with modern natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities has attracted the attention and concern of scholars both in China and around the world. Since the reform and opening-up, many scholars have liberated their minds, been innovative, and conducted truly scientific, independent research from the perspective of contemporary academic development, achieving fruitful results. The National Ancient Books Planning and Publication Group has always emphasized the integration of the (organization and publication) of ancient books (including unearthed artifacts) with systematic research on traditional culture. They advocate linking the precise outcomes of (organization and publication) and research closely with modernization efforts, ensuring that the inheritance and promotion of China's excellent traditional thought and culture have both a scientific foundation and a clear direction. For this reason, the preface to the "Ten-Year Plan for the Organization and Publication of Ancient Books and the 'Eighth Five-Year Plan'" formulated in 1992 specifically mentioned: "In the next decade, attention should be given to the timely publication of academic monographs by modern scholars who have achieved significant results in researching ancient books. It is also proposed to encourage modern scholars to apply modern scientific spirit to the study of ancient books, with the aim of making ancient wisdom serve the present." To facilitate the smooth publication of research monographs on traditional culture and to encourage the spirit of academic innovation, as well as to promote a rigorous and realistic academic style, the National Ancient Books Planning and Publication Group specially commissioned its Academic Committee to organize the publication of the "Series on the Study of Chinese Traditional Culture." This series is published annually, with each volume containing ten titles, and a portion of the funds provided by the state is allocated as financial support for publication.
