Features: Traditional Chinese thought and culture is an extremely vast field. The ancient civilization it embodies and how it connects with modern natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities has concerned scholars in China and the world. Since the reform and opening-up, many scholars have liberated their minds and strived for progress, conducting truly scientific and independent research from the perspective of contemporary academic development, achieving fruitful results. The National Ancient Books Planning and Publication Group has always attached importance to the combination of ancient books' compilation and publication with systematic research on traditional culture. It advocates linking the precise achievements of compilation and research closely with modernization efforts, ensuring the inheritance and promotion of China's excellent traditional thought and culture have both a scientific foundation and clear direction. It is precisely for this reason that the preface to the "Ten-Year Plan for the Compilation and Publication of Chinese Ancient Books and the 'Eighth Five-Year Plan'" formulated in 1992 emphasized: "In the next ten years, attention should be given to arranging the timely publication of academic works with significant achievements obtained by modern scholars in researching ancient books. It is also advocated that modern scholars should dedicate themselves to the study of Chinese ancient books with a modern scientific spirit, with the aim of applying ancient wisdom to the present."
