The book introduces many skills related to business diplomacy. It is a crystallization of the sincere collaboration between me and many of my colleagues dedicated to the professional training of business diplomats. Some of the materials were adopted when I established the master's program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California after returning to academia following my tenure as a senior official at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. These materials were fully developed through the International Business Diplomacy Program, which developed tools for business diplomacy professional training and helped establish training programs in other regions and countries around the world.
