Is this a sexually transmitted disease or balanitis?

Patient's question:

Doctor, please help me take a look at my penis to see if it shows any signs of sexually transmitted diseases such as genital warts, herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, or AIDS. I've had sex with a woman who is not a virgin. Recently, I've been experiencing frequent urination and urgency. Then, there's nothing else uncomfortable, except for some red spots and bumps on my glans, and the top of my glans feels a bit white and bubbly (please refer to the picture where I've circled them). It's a bit wrinkled. Is this a sexually transmitted disease or balanitis?

Doctor's answer:

Syphilis, genital herpes, and other conditions primarily manifest as recurrent ulcers, blisters, or cauliflower-like warts in the genital area. If you don’t have symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases like genital warts, there’s no need to panic. Regularly clean and maintain good hygiene in the affected area, and reduce sexual activity. For patients with balanitis, timely treatment can help reduce the severity of the condition. If left untreated, it may affect overall health. Therefore, patients should seek appropriate treatment promptly.
