Features: The status of the legal profession in a country's democracy and legal system is of great importance. It is both a product of the construction of democracy and the rule of law and an important indicator of the level of development in democracy and the rule of law. The legal profession in our country has made significant progress along with the improvement and development of our legal system. In July 1991, to meet the needs of legal practice teaching and the service work of, the author conducted extensive research and, combining his own practical experience as a lawyer, made preliminary explorations in the theory of the legal profession. He also systematically summarized and analyzed some complex legal practices, publishing the book "Legal Practice." This book was well-received by peers preparing for the bar examination and those newly entering the legal profession, and it was continuously reprinted.
After the legislative framework and various regulations of the legal profession were gradually issued in 1996, new areas of practice for lawyers were further expanded. Building upon enhanced theoretical research on the legal profession, the author summarized and revised the book "Legal Practice," focusing on real estate, securities, corporate law, and intellectual property protection.
At the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the strategy of governing the country by law was proposed, and China subsequently joined the World Trade Organization (WTO). Under the backdrop of WTO membership, the legal services market in China entered a new stage of development. To adapt the legal profession to the new needs, the author invited experienced lawyers to revise the original book again.
Based on extensive research and his own practical experience as a lawyer, the author made preliminary summaries of the theory of the legal profession and conducted detailed analyses of complex legal practices, striving to explore both theoretical and practical aspects of various well-established legal practices. Faced with the new stage of development of the legal services market in China after WTO membership, the author gathered experienced lawyers again to compile this book. This book is a practical reference for the legal and legal profession.
