Features: As an important achievement in the exploration of legal theory and practice, the "Excellent Papers Collection of the 3rd China Lawyers Forum and the Annual Meeting of Professional Committees" has finally been compiled and published after strict review by experts and scholars, and with the joint efforts of all lawyers and the organizing committee of the forum. This is a very meaningful event. The forum and annual meeting serve as a stage for exchanging advanced experiences and showcasing research results, attracting an increasing number of lawyers to participate and drawing widespread attention from the entire society. What is particularly valuable is that since its inception, the forum has successfully aligned its themes with the development of the times and the practice of lawyers, and this is the very source of its vitality.
The 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed "expanding and standardizing legal services," which has pointed the way for the development of the legal profession. Expansion refers to broadening the scope of services and increasing the number of service recipients, enriching the content of services and elevating the level of service, so that legal services can truly integrate into all aspects of economic, political, and social life and become a crucial force in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Standardization refers to regulating service subjects, service behavior, service order, and management practices through institutional construction and improvement, ensuring that the development of legal services is based on a healthy and orderly foundation.
Expansion and standardization have their own respective contents but are closely interconnected. Without expansion, standardization lacks a premise, and without standardization, expansion would become chaotic, hindering the healthy and sustainable development of the legal services industry. Therefore, it is essential to uphold both expansion and standardization, striving to build a legal service system with clear subjects, comprehensive functions, regulated order, and scientific management, to provide strong legal support and safeguards for building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
