Features: China officially became the 143rd member of the WTO on December 11, 2001. The Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) is one of the three pillars of the WTO. To fully utilize the rights granted by the TRIPS Agreement and fulfill the corresponding obligations, China revised the Patent Law, Copyright Law, and Trademark Law on August 25, 2000, and October 27, 2001, respectively. This further improved China's intellectual property protection system, bringing it largely in line with the requirements of the TRIPS Agreement. This textbook was organized based on China's latest intellectual property laws, in accordance with the "Basic Requirements for Core Course Teaching in Law Programs of Higher Education Institutions" issued by the Ministry of Education, and with reference to the Judicial Examination Outline of the Ministry of Justice. It combines years of teaching experience, research achievements, and practical insights. The content includes: Part I, General Theory, which introduces intellectual property and its legal systems, as well as international protection of intellectual property; Part II, Copyright Legal System; Part III, Patent Rights Legal System; Part IV, Trademark Rights Legal System; and Part V, Other Intellectual Property Rights, which introduces intellectual property rights outside of copyright, patent, and trademark rights, particularly "domain name rights," which are newly included in the textbook. The main features of this textbook are: (1) It constructs a complete framework of the intellectual property system; (2) It covers the latest fundamental theories of intellectual property; (3) It updates outdated concepts of intellectual property protection; and (4) It showcases the development trends of intellectual property in the 21st century.
