Features: The "Olympic Series" for Primary and Secondary Schools is divided into over 200 varieties, including textbook series, introductory textbooks, practice papers, mock exam papers, intensive textbooks, classic problem-solving series, weekly tests, question compilations, and multi-solution series. This series is organized by the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads and is a research outcome of the Beijing Step-by-Step Quality Education Research Institute. Since its publication by the Olympic Press, it has stood out and is deeply loved by teachers, parents, and students. After significant revisions, re-editions, or complete rewrites, it has been renamed as "Golden Medal Olympiads" and "Golden Medal Schools," and is now re-published and distributed by Jinghua Publishing House. At this re-publication, sincere gratitude is extended to millions of readers across the country. The Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiad (abbreviated as Subject Olympiad) is a subject competition activity in China with the widest coverage, the largest number of participants, and the greatest influence among primary and secondary school students. Subject Olympiads are derived from the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), International Physics Olympiad (IPHO), International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO), and other internationally influential middle school subject competitions that attract millions of young students every year. The reason for such attention lies in the strong innovation, flexibility, and comprehensiveness of the Olympiads, as well as their focus on cultivating students' exploration skills and inspiring their innovative awareness—core elements of quality education. This is also what future development requires. Based on years of in-depth research on this activity and a large number of outstanding books in this category, the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads has invited outstanding educators dedicated to this field from all over the country to compile and publish a series of books on mathematics, Chinese, English, physics, chemistry, biology, and information technology, totaling over 200 varieties. In terms of variety, quantity, and quality, our Olympiad books are the most influential among peers both domestically and internationally, and are the most appealing to primary and secondary school teachers and students. The purpose and characteristics of the "Golden Medal Olympiads" and "Golden Medal Schools" series are as follows:
1. High: Derived from textbooks but higher than textbooks. Derived from textbooks means it is written in accordance with the latest [curriculum standards] of the Ministry of Education, while being higher than textbooks means it closely aligns with the competition syllabi of various levels, ensuring comprehensive alignment in content, question types, and skill requirements. It aims to cultivate interest, develop intelligence, and enhance abilities.
2. Accurate: Scientifically accurate and well-structured. Each book is designed according to the characteristics of the subject, scientifically organized, and follows a progressive principle, offering in-depth yet accessible analysis and comprehensive, detailed problem-solving methods.
3. Innovative: The questions are novel, unique, and engaging. They gather the essence of recent Olympiad, middle school, and high school exam questions from both China and abroad, representing the highest level of current Olympiads and reflecting new concepts in curriculum reform, as well as new ideas, methods, and trends in competition question-setting.
4. Selective: Carefully selected examples, challenging yet not obscure, flexible, and achievable. Emphasis is placed on generalization and cross-application; multi-solution, multi-variable, and multi-question approaches are encouraged; and focus is on training thinking skills without resorting to endless drills, making learning an interest and hobby.
5. Renowned: Gathered by famous teachers and collected from famous competitions. The Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads has invited renowned professors from prestigious universities, special-grade teachers, senior teachers, subject leaders, and famous Olympiad gold medal coaches to contribute.
