Each volume is further divided into eight units, each focusing on a humanities theme. In each article, the following four reading support sections are set up:
1. Introduction Before the article, it emphasizes guidance. It uses relevant materials that help with reading, such as author biographies, writing backgrounds, the main content and stylistic features of the article, etc., as entry points to explain the reasons for recommending the reading and lead the readers into the article.
2. Language Accumulation After the article, it emphasizes the accumulation of the essence of the language in the article, especially key words and quoted famous poems and sayings. It focuses on reviewing and reinforcing the content of the Chinese language textbook.
3. Appreciation and Reflection After the article, it emphasizes guiding open-ended thinking directions and methods around the topic of "growth," expanding the depth and breadth of thinking.
4. Marginal Notes Alongside the article, readers can jot down their own reflections while reading. In the design of the reading support sections, three returns are emphasized: returning to reading, returning to the text, and returning to thinking. It aims to help children not only immerse themselves in the reading but also gain insights from it. The target readers of this series of readers are middle school students. The intention behind its compilation is to focus on classic enlightenment education. Through the process of reading new classics, readers are encouraged to appreciate and reflect, broaden their horizons, enhance their cultural taste and aesthetic interests, enrich their spiritual world, and thereby contribute to their healthy development in the future.
