There are both lengthy essays spanning thousands of words and concise notes of just a few hundred characters. Some focus on argumentation or narration, while others excel in emotional expression. In terms of content, the selections are diverse and extensive, enabling readers to fully understand the practical value of letters. The arrangement of the selected texts is generally in chronological order by era. After each piece, there are annotations that provide concise and accurate explanations and interpretations of the author, the recipient, the background of writing, quoted allusions, and difficult phrases, to facilitate reading.
