Features: The establishment of cultural and art education programs in China is not very widespread, and the curriculum systems set up by different institutions vary greatly. The teaching materials used are also not standardized. Therefore, it is highly necessary and meaningful to develop a set of high-quality teaching materials for cultural and art education. Since there is no precedent for compiling a series of specialized textbooks on cultural and art education in China, the challenges of writing them are understandably significant. Although this textbook was compiled by a teaching and research team composed of nearly 70 professors, associate professors, and doctors from the School of Humanities, with extensive home teaching experience and strong research capabilities, most of the participating teachers have published personal monographs or served as chief editors or co-editors of teaching materials. Although we have determined that this series of textbooks should adhere to the principles of fundamentality, knowledge, scientificity, systematicity, and interest, the participating authors have strived to align with these principles, the textbooks will inevitably have certain shortcomings due to the aforementioned factors, as well as differences in individual styles and tight deadlines. We sincerely hope that readers will provide criticism and suggestions so that the textbooks can be revised and improved in future editions.
