Features: ig">The Fundamentals of Vocal Music was compiled based on the teaching tasks for vocal music courses outlined in the "Subject Curriculum Plan for Two- or Three-Year Normal College Music Education Programs" issued by the former State Education Commission in 1995. The fundamental principles for its compilation are as follows: "to enable students to establish a preliminary correct concept of vocal production; to master proper vocal techniques, capable of analyzing and interpreting vocal music works correctly; to develop the ability to demonstrate singing; and to acquire training methods for children's voices and the adolescent voice change period." During the compilation process, emphasis was placed on (normal college students) and teaching orientation, with enhanced focus on relevance and adaptability, aiming to align with training objectives and the actual needs of teaching subjects. To standardize and gradually regulate teaching content, enabling students to comprehensively master the full scope of vocal music studies, this textbook was meticulously researched and compiled with a spirit of practice and exploration. Following the textbook format, it is divided into teaching stages based on semesters and published in two volumes corresponding to different grade levels. This book is not only suitable for teaching in music programs at normal colleges but can also serve as a textbook for first- and second-year undergraduate students, as well as for adult education in correspondence courses.
1. Through this semester's study, the focus is on mastering the fundamentals of vocal performance, expanding the repertoire, and improving singing skills.
2. Further enhance the ability to control breath and vocal production, strengthen breath control, and regulate the intensity of breath.
3. Based on the mid-voice range, moderately expand the vocal range—female voices to a 12-degree span, male voices to an 11-degree span—and begin learning vocal techniques for the upper register. The goal is to achieve unified vocal registers, with smooth and continuous sound flow.
4. Initially master the artistic treatment methods of vocal performance, enriching the expressive capabilities of vocal timbre.
5. Understand the psychological characteristics of vocal expression and pay attention to conveying emotions through singing.
