Features: Surface mount components (SMD/SMC) are the product of miniaturization and high integration in electronic devices, representing a new type of micro-small components with no leads or short leads. Currently, surface mount components have been widely used in high-tech products such as computers, mobile communication devices, and medical electronic products, as well as in electrical appliances like camcorders, color TV high-frequency heads, VCD players, and DVD players. Due to the extremely small size of surface mount components, it is impossible to print model numbers similar to conventional components on their packaging surfaces. As a result, more and more surface mount component manufacturers are using identification codes with only two or three characters to replace the model numbers of conventional components. However, there is currently no relevant technical documentation in the market, making it very difficult or even impossible for electronic technicians or maintenance personnel to identify the model of a surface mount component based on its code. This presents significant challenges for technicians. Based on the collection and organization of a large amount of technical data on surface mount components, this book provides a comparative reference in tabular form, listing the identification codes—models—packages—technical parameters of commonly used surface mount components. The book is divided into two main parts: Part 1 introduces the basic knowledge, characteristics, performance, and application knowledge of commonly used surface mount components in electronic devices; Part 2 presents a table-based comparative reference of commonly used surface mount component identification codes—models—parameters and substitution information to address the practical challenges of identifying component models and understanding their technical parameters. The components covered in the book include resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors, field-effect transistors, CPU reset circuits, voltage stabilization circuits, operational amplifiers, and RF amplifiers. To facilitate reader use, the accompanying CD-ROM provides approximately 600 pages of surface mount component technical data sorted by component model and manufacturer. This book is suitable for electronic technicians, electronic equipment and home appliance maintenance personnel, as well as electronics enthusiasts.
