This book is not only suitable for students in electrical automation, mechatronics, and industrial automation programs in higher (secondary) vocational and technical schools but can also serve as a training textbook for electrical personnel in enterprises.
[Preface] This book is written in accordance with the training specifications for electrical automation professionals in vocational and technical colleges and the principle of "weakening theory, keeping it sufficient, cultivating skills, and emphasizing application." The book is based on the practical application of electric machine and electrical control technology in production. In terms of content selection, it aligns with the current of China's large and medium-sized enterprises, simplifying theoretical analyses and calculations that are less relevant to practical applications of electric machines. It highlights the cultivation of fundamental knowledge and operational skills while summarizing common fault analysis and handling methods encountered by practitioners in actual work. Additionally, new technologies such as soft starters and frequency converters have been introduced. This book can serve as a textbook for electrical and mechatronics programs in vocational and technical colleges and as a training manual for workers. The content is arranged progressively from simple to complex. The main topics include DC machines, power of DC motors, transformers, asynchronous motors, power of three-phase asynchronous motors, drive and control motors, common low-voltage electrical appliances, basic electrical control circuits, and control circuits for common machine tools. The book is divided into 9 chapters, with the Introduction and Chapters 1, 2, and 4 written by Yuan Weiye of Hebei Industrial Vocational and Technical College; Chapters 3 and 9 written by Gao Nan of Hebei Industrial Vocational and Technical College; Chapters 6 and 7 written by Ma Baozhen of Hebei Industrial Vocational and Technical College; Chapter 5 written by Zhen Liling of Lüliang Higher Vocational College; and Chapter 8 written by Cai Baoping of Lüliang Higher Vocational College. The book has been compiled and edited by Yuan Weiye, who also serves as the editor-in-chief. Gao Nan and Ma Baozhen are deputy editors-in-chief, and Yang Huiying, a senior engineer at Shijiazhuang Jiaohua Group, serves as the chief reviewer.
