Taiwan's economy, finance, and cross-strait economic and trade relations

Features: The selected manuscript content is mostly practical, aiming to be substantial and specific, avoiding abstract and vague descriptions, and serving as a reference. Due to the geographical distance between the two sides and limited information exchange, it is not always possible to obtain what one wants, making it challenging to achieve this. The collected materials must not only be practical but also come from reliable sources, and they should be applied scientifically and objectively—this is the author's consistent principle and attitude toward research. Regarding political issues between the two sides, the author rarely elaborates on this aspect in the manuscripts, for two reasons: first, the political agenda of the two sides is not the author's research focus, as there are politicians who specialize in it; second, the issue is highly complex, sensitive, and constantly evolving, making it difficult to explain clearly in just a few words. As for the economic level, the author has long been engaged in the financial industry and believes that, whether viewed in the short term or long term, Taiwan as an economic entity is highly valuable for research and deserves attention. The manuscripts selected for this book on Taiwan's economic and financial matters and cross-strait economic and trade relations were mostly completed from the 1990s to the beginning of the 21st century, with statistical data up to 2003.
