Features: This book is based on the processing and revision of a doctoral dissertation in China. Before starting my doctoral studies, I had already thought about many of the issues in the dissertation I later chose, and had collected some materials on ancient documents and paleography, as well as made numerous notes. Due to the demands of my work, I had no time for in-depth and systematic thinking and research. In 1996, I was admitted to the Department of History at Beijing Normal University to pursue a doctoral degree in Pre-Qin History under the guidance of Professor Huang Fulin. Soon after entering the university, I determined my research topic under Professor Huang's guidance. In the early second semester, I officially started my dissertation work and devoted myself to writing it.
