Features: Mo Xiaosong was born in Longxi, Gansu in June 1964. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Northwest Normal University in 1982 and completed the Advanced Research Class in Flower-and-Bird Painting under Guo Yizong at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2002. He was previously the Deputy Director of the Gansu Art Museum, the Deputy Chairman of the Flower-and-Bird Painting Art Committee of the Gansu Fine Arts Association, and the Director of the Creation Research Office of the Gansu Art Institute. Currently, he is a professional painter at the Beijing Art Institute, a first-class national fine arts master, a member of the China Fine Arts Association, and a member of the National Youth League Committee. In his paintings of lotus flowers, his unique composition and delicate brushwork have created distinctive and personalized works. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. His works include "Spring Arrives at the Red Wall," which won the gold medal at the National Contemporary Flower-and-Bird Painting Art Exhibition; "Stone Man Mi Fu," "Lotus Pond," and "Fragrant Night" participated in the 7th, 8th, and 10th National Fine Arts Exhibitions; "Leisurely Charm of Lotus Pond" took part in the Centennial Chinese Painting Exhibition; "Clear Lotus" and "Autumn Ode" were included in the First and Second National Chinese Painting Exhibitions; "Winter Solstice," "September in Hexi," and "Warm Breeze" were selected for the "Light of the Century" Chinese Painting Nominations Exhibition, the 1st and 2nd National Art Institute Biennales, and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th National Gongbi Painting Exhibitions, winning awards in some of them. He has held solo and group exhibitions in Dunhuang (1992), Sendai, Japan (1994), Taiwan (1996), Hong Kong (1997), France (2001), and Shenzhen (2002), and his works have been collected by UNESCO, the World Heritage Center, the National Art Museum of China, the Shanghai Art Museum, the Guangzhou Art Museum, the Guan Shanyue Art Museum, the Chinese Painting Research Institute, the Beijing Art Institute, and others. He has published works such as "Techniques of Flower-and-Bird Painting by Famous Chinese Artists – Mo Xiaosong's Gongbi Flower-and-Bird Paintings," "Touching Life – Love is Eternal" (a poetry and painting collection), "A World of Calm and Purity – Selected Works of Mo Xiaosong," "Masterpieces of Famous Paintings," "Selected Works of Mo Xiaosong's Gongbi Flower-and-Bird Paintings," "Techniques of Flower-and-Bird Painting by Famous Chinese Artists – Mo Xiaosong's Fan Art," "Contemporary Masterpieces – Mo Xiaosong," "Techniques Analysis of Contemporary Masters – Mo Xiaosong's Gongbi Flower-and-Bird Paintings," and "Mo Jiancheng and Mo Xiaosong Art Collection."
