It analyzes the teaching objectives, content, and various textbooks that have been published so far for each subject, providing specific and in-depth interpretations of the curriculum standards through practical lesson examples and practices. It explores how to evaluate students' academic performance in modules through diverse methods, offering typical evaluation plans and tools. The content of this issue reflects both some new research findings from professional researchers and the experiences of frontline teachers in curriculum implementation, providing concrete references and guidance for high school teachers and grassroots education workers through successful case studies. This issue is compiled in subject-specific volumes, including nine subjects such as Ideological and Political Education, Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, and Biology. The main content of each volume is divided into two parts: the first part discusses teaching issues, and the second part focuses on academic performance evaluation. The teaching section emphasizes a thorough understanding of the subject's teaching, including the following basic content: grasping the curriculum standards of the subject, analyzing the teaching content of the subject, the impact of module-based course structures on teaching, teaching and learning strategies based on modules, including specific implementation and case analyses. The evaluation section delves into the understanding of new curriculum evaluation concepts, specifically proposing process-based and summative evaluation methods, tools, and techniques for the learning content of the subject, including test papers and forms that have been tried in some experimental schools, as well as how experimental schools recognize module-based academic performance.

4. Systematicity. The content of this issue covers major high school subjects, with authors sharing a consistent teaching guidance philosophy and evaluation concepts, ensuring coordination and mutual reinforcement. It not only provides reference value for teaching and evaluation activities in each subject but also offers a great platform for organizing cross-disciplinary teaching and evaluation research at the school level.
This series is a research outcome of the Ministry of Education's project "Research on High School Student Academic Performance Evaluation under the New Curriculum" and the Guangdong Provincial Education Science "15th Five-Year Plan" key project "Guangdong Province Basic Education Curriculum Reform Research."
The implementation of the new high school Chinese curriculum has brought new challenges to Chinese teachers, demanding adjustments and improvements in both teaching and evaluation approaches. Today, Chinese teachers more than ever desire timely guidance to address the in their teaching. In light of this, based on surveys and analyses, we have identified the problems Chinese teachers face in implementing the new curriculum and proposed a series of strategic and directly applicable suggestions and solutions for teaching and evaluating the new curriculum, centered around the themes of "how to teach" and "how to evaluate." We hope that by reading these suggestions and solutions, Chinese teachers can effectively improve their teaching of the new curriculum and benefit more students.
Regarding "how to teach," the book first guides teachers to understand the concepts of the new curriculum and the goals of improving high school Chinese teaching. It then, through case studies and analysis, helps teachers learn how to handle textbooks and design teaching for various components of Chinese according to the new curriculum requirements. Finally, to assist teachers in evaluating high school students' Chinese learning, we aim to provide the following support: First, helping high school Chinese teachers further understand the evaluation concepts of the new curriculum, particularly recognizing the significance and interrelationships of process-based and summative evaluation, as well as qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Second, providing teachers with multiple, selectable evaluation plans and methods that align with the new curriculum requirements, for reference and adoption. In summary, we hope our efforts will inspire more Chinese teachers to develop interest and wisdom in implementing the new curriculum.
